After about a month since its release, the developers of NBA 2K26 are launching the game’s second season. This means players will have access to a wealth of new collectibles and rewards. To coincide with the start of the real NBA season on October 21st, 2K is offering an XP boost in MyCareer starting October 20th, allowing players to join the excitement as the Oklahoma City Thunder begin their quest for another championship.
That’s just one of the perks coming with the new season! Similar to last year’s *NBA 2K26*, there’s a new season pass available in all game modes. For those interested, the Pro Pass and Hall of Fame Pass offer even more rewards, with some items unlocked immediately in MyTeam and MyCareer.
Both passes immediately unlock a Diamond J.R. Smith card in MyTeam and special Halloween-themed items for your MyCareer character. As you level up through the pass, you’ll earn even more cosmetic items, including a platinum grill for your MyCareer player. Even without purchasing a pass, you can still unlock a lot of rewards. While we don’t have all the details for Season 2 yet, there will be plenty of new content for fans of MyCareer and MyTeam.
In MyCareer, players can earn a Low Rider car, the Denver Nuggets mascot Rocky, and two new Max +2 Badge Perks. As you progress through the pass, you’ll also unlock a special backwards jersey featuring Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, letting you show your support for the current MVP as he starts his new season.
MyTeam players can kick off the season with an Evo Shaedon Sharpe card that improves over time. As you progress through the pass, you’ll also unlock players like Amethyst Goran Dragic, Diamond Joe Johnson, Pink Diamond Courtney Vandersloot, and a Pink Diamond Chris Bosh to cap things off. With MyTeam now offering packs with both NBA and WNBA players, it will be interesting to see how this variety is reflected in the season pass rewards.
Beyond earning rewards through gameplay, players can unlock fresh items in The W, like a Witch Hat and new MyTeam cards inspired by the WNBA. The Park is also getting an update with a brand new rooftop court to offer a different playing experience. And, as usual, a new selection of music tracks will be released with the season pass, providing a fresh soundtrack for your games.
NBA 2K26 Season 2 starts on October 17th and will last for several weeks, giving players plenty of time to complete the season pass. However, earning XP seems to be slower this year, so it’s best to start playing early and often to unlock everything.
