In the action film War Machine, Alan Ritchson plays a soldier called 81 who joins the US Army Rangers to honor a promise he made to his brother. During the last stage of his training, his team is suddenly attacked by a massive alien machine determined to wipe them out.
Reviews for War Machine are generally favorable. Critics praise Alan Ritchson’s performance, noting the film is a great showcase for his charm and physicality. However, some reviewers feel the characters could be more developed. Overall, it’s considered a visually exciting action movie, and currently has a user rating of 68%.

In the movie War Machine, Joe Manganiello plays a character called Staff Sergeant 81. Manganiello considered who would win in a fight between Staff Sergeant 81 and Jack Reacher, a character he’s also known for.
Alan Ritchson thinks Reacher might simply be impulsive enough to kill someone without a clear motive, but acknowledges that the character is incredibly determined.
