Disney+ has announced the release details for Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord. This new animated series from Lucasfilm focuses on Darth Maul and his activities between The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels. The show follows Maul as he tries to restore his criminal organization and get revenge on his enemies.
The new Star Wars series, Maul – Shadow Lord, is coming to Disney+ before The Mandalorian & Grogu hit theaters in May. The series will be released in two episodes each week, starting April 6th and continuing through May 4th.

In addition to the release schedule, the titles for each episode of Maul – Shadow Lord have been revealed and can be found below.
- Chapter 1: The Dark Revenge (April 6)
- Chapter 2: Sinister Schemes (April 6)
- Chapter 3: Whispers in the Unknown (April 13)

- Chapter 6: Night of the Hunted (April 20)
- Chapter 7: Call to the Oblivion (April 27)
- Chapter 8: The Creeping Fear (April 27)
- Chapter 9: Strange Allies (May 4)

The animated series Maul – Shadow Lord is brief, consisting of only 10 episodes. Because it releases episodes in pairs, the season will be over in just five weeks. However, the finale is scheduled to air on May 4th – Star Wars Day – offering fans a special event.
The new audio drama, Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord, once again features Sam Witwer as the voice of Darth Maul, a character he’s famously portrayed in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels. The cast also includes Richard Ayoade, Wagner Moura, and Gideon Adlon. Set on the planet Janix, Maul – Shadow Lord features a fresh, updated animation style for the Star Wars universe.
What Do Maul: Shadow Lord’s Titles Reveal About the Series?

With the official titles for the Maul – Shadow Lord series now revealed, fans are eagerly searching for clues about what each episode will cover.
The episode currently known as “Finale,” or Chapter 10, is generating a lot of buzz. It’s unknown if this is the official title, or if it’s a temporary placeholder to keep surprises under wraps. It’s also unclear whether “Finale” refers to the end of the entire series, or just the conclusion of the first season, as it hasn’t been confirmed if Maul – Shadow Lord will continue beyond this initial run.
We can get some clues from episode titles like “Chapter 5: Inquisition,” which might hint at the Inquisitors appearing in the show through Marrok. Viewers have been eager to learn more about Marrok ever since they appeared in Season 1 of Ahsoka.
The title of Chapter 9, “Strange Allies,” hints that Maul might team up with an unexpected character. There’s been a lot of speculation that Maul will take on a new apprentice in the Maul – Shadow Lord comic series, potentially bringing a storyline from the old Star Wars Legends material into official canon. We might get confirmation of this later in the season.
