New Avengers Logo Revealed by Marvel Before Avengers: Doomsday

With the upcoming release of Doomsday, Marvel is entering a new phase and has revealed a new logo to mark the occasion. The story will directly follow the events of the current Avengers: Armageddon storyline.

Marvel has announced details for the first issue of the relaunched Avengers comic, which will be available November 4th. The new series features a redesigned logo, and writer Chip Zdarsky shared his thoughts on the change in a recent newsletter. He explained that he wanted to create a fresh look for the iconic “A” symbol, and Marvel approved his vision.

The Avengers Debut a New Roster Along With Their Logo in New Series

The Avengers are getting a fresh start in several ways, not just with a new logo. When writer Al Ewing takes over later this year, the team lineup will also be changing. “We’re aiming to make The Avengers the most exciting and impactful comic on the stands,” Ewing said. “Each issue will be packed with action, and I’m thrilled Marvel is giving us the freedom to do it.”

Marvel has given fans a sneak peek at the upcoming Avengers storyline, hinting it will have major consequences across the Marvel Universe. According to Marvel, after a significant shift in the world order, a new team of Avengers – including Spider-Man, Wolverine, Captain Marvel, Daredevil, and Luke Cage – will assemble to protect Earth. A brand-new hero will also join the team, and their debut is coming soon.

The cover of Avengers #1 introduces the team with a dramatic scene: they’re shown standing on the remains of a volcano, surrounded by numerous skulls. The new logo and title, “Earth’s mightiest survivors,” are prominently displayed.

The latest tagline hints at a dark future for Marvel’s superheroes. The current Avengers: Armageddon storyline is being promoted as “the beginning of the end,” and it appears this new team of heroes will be Earth’s last line of defense.

I’m so hyped for Armageddon! Marvel’s been hinting that the Marvel Universe we know is going to change drastically. They’ve said there’ll be a ‘before’ and ‘after’ to this event, and they want us to be there to see how everything transforms. It sounds huge!

Zdarsky Teases New Avengers Team is Mad and ‘Ready to Avenge’

It’s still unclear who will survive the upcoming Armageddon event, but writer Zdarsky has hinted that one character will be particularly motivated by what happens and step up as a leader. “I’m incredibly excited to write the Avengers! And after the events of Avengers: Armageddon, this team will be furious and determined to get revenge,” he said.

Zdarsky believes Avengers will be the central book for the Marvel Universe, full of exciting events and unexpected twists. He and artist Marco are focused on delivering that experience with each issue, and they hope readers will enjoy the beautiful artwork.

Avengers #1 goes on sale Nov. 4 from Marvel Comics, and Doomsday hits theaters on Dec. 18
