In just under a month’s time, on 8th September 2025, Baby Steps will finally stumble onto PS5.
Developed by the creators of Ape Out and Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy, the game, published by Devolver Digital, has long been anticipated. We’re eager to uncover its secrets!
Well, this latest trailer for the game tells you more or less all you need to know:
Just like that infamous “Getting Over It,” I found myself in a challenging game named “Baby Steps.” This time around, instead of a pot, I was controlling an underprepared character, trying to conquer a tricky terrain that seemed to laugh at my every attempt.
In this game, you assume the role of a 30-something character named Nate, who finds himself mysteriously transported to an otherworldly dimension. Here, he must relearn the ability to walk due to certain circumstances.
In this game, you’ll find yourself immersed in a vast, intricate environment filled with hurdles and complex geometries. Your mission is to delve into the unknown, uncover hidden treasures, and eventually guide the character named Nate back to his cozy, underground home.
Indeed, it’s important to note that controlling Nate isn’t as straightforward as pushing the left joystick forward to walk. Instead, you’ll need to employ the triggers to manage each of Nate’s legs separately, which means navigating from one point to another becomes a challenging puzzle.
The video displayed clearly illustrates the likelihood of making mistakes and plummeting back, potentially causing a loss of advancement and an increase in frustration.
Is the upcoming opportunity for practicing patience something we’re eagerly anticipating? What about you? Excited for the test presented by Baby Steps? Keep a watchful eye on your words in the comments area beneath this post.
