As a huge DC fan, I was really excited to finally see Hal Jordan’s powers on display in the new Lanterns trailer! There’s been a lot of chatter about the upcoming Green Lantern show, and honestly, some people seemed a little disappointed it wasn’t shaping up to be the over-the-top space opera we might have expected. The showrunner, Chris Mundy, even seemed a bit frustrated, assuring everyone there would be plenty of green! Thankfully, this new trailer tackles those concerns head-on and delivers the cosmic action we’ve been hoping for.
I’m so excited about Lanterns! It looks like the story jumps between 2016 and 2026, with Kyle Chandler playing Hal Jordan as the Green Lantern in the earlier timeline, and Aaron Pierre taking on the role by 2026. The new trailer really hints at what both of them are up to, and that chilling question – “Are you afraid?” – keeps running through my head. We finally get a good look at Hal’s costume, and apparently Nathan Fillion is going to make an appearance as Guy Gardner too! I can’t wait!
