Rick and Morty season 9 streaming release date gets major update – and it’s good news for fans

I’m so excited! We’re getting new Rick and Morty much sooner than expected! The ninth season is coming out way ahead of schedule, which is awesome news for all of us fans.

The ninth season of Rick and Morty was initially scheduled to premiere in the US on August 31st, streaming on both Hulu and HBO Max.

Warner Bros Discovery has announced that the next season will now be released much earlier than expected, on June 15, 2026.

This applies only to viewers in the United States. Fans in the UK actually got to see Season 9 much earlier – it started streaming on HBO Max (which now carries the show instead of Channel 4) on March 26th.

Rick and Morty is returning for Season 9! The creators promise a season full of great episodes, made with genuine effort and human creativity – no artificial intelligence was used. They’re really hoping viewers tune in, because a lot of personal time and effort went into making it!

The popular animated series Rick and Morty is back with Ian Cardoni and Harry Belden voicing Rick and Morty. They stepped into these roles after Justin Roiland, who previously voiced both characters, finished his run at the end of season 7. The show continues to follow the wild, time-traveling adventures of the uncle and nephew duo.

Rick and Morty, a hugely popular animated show, is growing beyond its original series. For a long time, there’s been talk of a live-action movie – even director Zack Snyder has expressed interest in directing it. Plus, a spin-off animated series focusing on the character of President Curtis, with Keith David reprising his role, is currently being developed.

Don’t worry, Rick and Morty isn’t going anywhere! Even though season nine just finished, co-creator Dan Harmon has said the show will have at least 12 seasons total, meaning fans can look forward to many more wild and unpredictable adventures.
