Pikmin 3 first came out on Wii U in 2013, and Pikmin 3 Deluxe – an updated version with better graphics and extra content – was released on Switch in 2020. If this rating is accurate, Nintendo is planning to enhance Pikmin 3 again for the Switch 2, though details about what changes will be included are currently unavailable.
Nintendo Fans Don’t Understand This Choice

Considering Pikmin 4 is the newest game in the series, released in 2023, and offers excellent gameplay and replay value, it would seem like the more logical choice for a Switch 2 upgrade.
