For over 25 years, One Piece has been a favorite among anime and manga lovers worldwide. The recent live-action series on Netflix has introduced even more people to its fun and quirky universe. Now, fans can dive into the world of One Piece with a new game that includes popular characters and adapts a well-loved story arc from the anime.
A new board game called One Piece: Dawn of Liberation is coming soon, bringing the exciting Land of Wano arc to life! Developed by KessCo and Toei Animation, this cooperative game lets 1-4 players build a crew of their favorite characters from the arc. Players will need to team up to complete missions, collect resources, and find allies to succeed.

To beat the emperor Kaido, you’ll need to master everything the game throws at you. Expect the whole story to take around four to six hours to play through. Luckily, if life interrupts, you can pause and pick up right where you left off at important moments – it’s designed for playing in shorter bursts if you prefer.
KessCo CEO Alex Kessler explained that their aim was to create a tabletop game that truly captures the grand adventure and feeling of ONE PIECE. He said collaborating with Toei Animation to adapt the series for tabletop gaming has been a fantastic experience, and they’re excited for fans to play it soon.
Fans have a lot to look forward to! Besides the upcoming film Liberation, Netflix has confirmed that season 2 of its live-action One Piece series will arrive in 2026. And even better, season 3 is already in development! This shows Netflix is committed to One Piece for the long term, which is fantastic news for fans of the popular anime and manga.
The board game Liberation was recently showcased at PAX Unplugged. Pre-orders will open online in March 2026, and special upgraded editions will be available. Players can expect to receive their copies of the game starting in the third quarter of 2026.
