It’s quite thrilling for the Pokémon series as the new Switch 2 has been released, and Pokémon Legends: Z-A is about to follow soon!
Although those eagerly awaiting updates on Generation 10 might have left today’s Pokémon Presents feeling slightly let down, there was still some positive news to take away.
During an unexpected unveiling, a fresh Pokémon game made its debut, stealthily released during the demonstration – however, it likely doesn’t align with what most fans might have anticipated.
The freshly launched game titled “Pokémon Friends” can be enjoyed immediately on both Nintendo Switch gaming systems and mobile devices.
This collection includes a variety of puzzles designed to challenge the mind, including arranging light bulbs using a single wire, and organizing tiles in a specific sequence that allows water or a train cart to move through them.
With the slogan “Eureka Every Day!”, this game invites players to unravel puzzles and experience their daily “lightbulb” moment.
By completing puzzles, you’ll unlock Pokémon plushes that you can use to decorate rooms in-game.
The advertisement gives the impression that it caters to gamers across various age groups. However, upon closer examination, it appears this game primarily engages and challenges the minds of young players, offering a level of mental stimulation beyond what’s typically found in mobile games designed for general audiences.
This newest addition joins the lineup of Pokémon-themed mobile games that have come out recently, such as Pokémon Sleep and Pokémon Café ReMix. Both games hinted at upcoming updates during today’s reveal.
This isn’t the first game that challenges Pokémon enthusiasts, as games like Pokémon Puzzle League, Pokémon Trozei, and Pokéon Picross are already well-remembered by many. However, it might not be the exciting release that fans were anticipating today.
Luckily, we received a bit of information about the forthcoming Pokémon Legends: Z-A and also learned the official release date for the Stadium-style Pokémon Champions game.
All we really need, though, is for them to remake Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky.
