Honestly, the latest update for Silent Hill f took me a bit by surprise. We’ve been waiting for some fixes and additions to the game since it came out in 2025, and things have been moving pretty slowly. It seems like Konami might be focusing on getting the game available on more consoles and platforms right now, which their website recently hinted at. It’s a little frustrating as a fan, but hopefully, they’ll get back to adding those features we’re all hoping for soon!
As a huge fan, I’m keeping my fingers crossed, but it’s looking unlikely the game will come to Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, or even the original PS5. Right now, you can only play it on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X. It’s built using Unreal Engine 5, and honestly, not many games with that engine have made it to those older consoles, so I’m not super optimistic, but I’m still hoping!
Leak or Mistake?
The official Konami website currently lists the game as being available on Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. However, it hasn’t actually been released on any of those platforms, and there hasn’t been any official announcement about it coming to them. This could be an error on the website, or it might be an accidental early reveal. It’s unclear which one is true at this time.
It’s worth noting one thing: the listing doesn’t mention trademarks related to any of these platforms. This doesn’t necessarily mean it isn’t a leak, but it’s something to keep in mind. While a future version for the Switch 2 seems plausible, ports for the older Switch, PS4, and Xbox One would be unexpected, particularly for the PS4 and Xbox One.
As of right now, neither Konami nor the game’s developer, Bloober Team, has responded to requests for comment. We’ll update this article if they do. It’s common for companies to avoid discussing rumors, and if this information came from a leak, they likely won’t be making a statement.
I’ve been playing Silent Hill f and honestly, it’s become one of my favorite games this year. It’s definitely the best horror game I’ve played in 2025, though I’ve seen some longtime Silent Hill fans weren’t immediately blown away when it first came out back in September. Still, Konami seems really keen on getting this game out there for everyone to try.
We’d love to hear your thoughts! Please leave a comment below, or discuss it with other fans on the ComicBook Forum. What features or direction would you like to see for the upcoming Silent Hill f game?
