New Strictly Come Dancing presenters make their first public debut as trio

Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe, and Johannes Radebe, the new hosts of Strictly Come Dancing, were seen together for the first time at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

This week, the Royal Horticultural Society is holding its yearly show at the Royal Hospital Chelsea. The event features stunning garden designs and celebrates the beauty of spring blossoms.

Emma, Josh, and Johannes will be the new hosts of Strictly Come Dancing this year, taking over from Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman. They looked fantastic as they participated in a recent event.

Johannes, dressed in a flower-covered sheer top that fit the event perfectly, playfully lifted Josh into his arms while Emma watched and laughed.

Afterward, they took photos with event attendees on the hospital’s Great Pavilion grounds, and with the well-known Chelsea Pensioners, who were wearing their traditional red uniforms for the event.

After months of guessing, it’s now official: a new group of three hosts will lead the popular show, Strictly.

When Kate Phillips, who leads content at the BBC, announced the news, she highlighted the clear connection and rapport between Emma, Johannes, and Josh.

Emma, known for hosting shows like Big Brother, Love is Blind UK, and The Voice, shared on the news how excited she is to join Strictly Come Dancing. She’s been a longtime fan, watching and enjoying the show from home for years, and says it still feels unreal to be competing in the ballroom.

Tess and Claudia were truly special – two incredible women who were the heart and soul of Strictly for years. We can only hope to carry on their legacy and guide the show forward with the same grace and style as they did.

I’m really excited to spend my weekends with Josh, Jojo, and the judges – they’re all amazing dancers! I’m hoping they’ll give me a perfect score of 10!

Johannes, known as Jojo, is taking on a new role. He’s been a popular professional dancer on the show since 2018 and has consistently partnered with different dancers in competition since 2019.

Josh, a comedian and TV host famous for shows like The Last Leg and QI, was a contestant on the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special in 2024.

I’m still incredibly proud of performing the Charleston as a penguin on the 2024 Strictly Christmas special – it was a real career highlight! So, I’m thrilled, honored, and a little intimidated to be taking on such a big role in television.

I love spending time with Emma and Jojo, and I’m really looking forward to our weekends together. I’m even planning to break out my penguin costume!

Strictly Come Dancing is getting some big changes for the 2026 season! Along with new dancers Emma, Jojo, and Josh joining the lineup, five familiar faces have left the show. There are also reports that the companion show, It Takes Two, is getting a makeover.

Strictly Come Dancing is available to watch on catch-up on BBC iPlayer.
