Messhof, known for creating games like Nidhogg and Wheel World, has revealed their new project, Blood Dungeon.
This game combines the fast-paced action of ‘Vampire Survivors’ with the platforming challenges of ‘Spelunky’. It’s a ‘bullet heaven’ style game where your character automatically attacks, but you’ll also be running and jumping through 2D levels.
You’ll navigate tricky, maze-like levels while being pursued by ever-growing groups of enemies. As you play, you’ll collect different weapons that fire on their own, and your main objective is survival.
To stay alive, you’re constantly on the move, running, jumping, and climbing through each level. As you explore, you’ll need to gather blood, bones, and gold to become more powerful.
Players will be able to choose from a variety of characters, each with unique abilities. The game includes six large levels to discover, plus a huge number of enemies, weapons, and quests to complete.
It seems a bit ridiculous, but the incredibly addictive gameplay from Vampire Survivors is back, and I have a feeling I’ll be hooked again.
