Team Ninja surprised fans with the announcement that the DLC for Ninja Gaiden 4, titled The Two Masters, will be available on March 4th. It costs $14.99 to purchase separately, or is included with the Deluxe Edition of the game. The DLC adds three new story chapters and two new weapons. You can watch the reveal trailer below.
Yakumo now has a new weapon, Solitaire, a scythe that seems designed to be upgraded with Bloodbind Ninjutsu. Meanwhile, Ryu gets Jakotsumon, Serpent Gauntlets that give him more options in combat. Both characters will face new challenges, including a powerful demon who flies with a jetpack and a series of difficult Trials.
A new challenge mode called Abyssal Road is being added to really test players’ abilities. While it appears to take place in Purgatory, the trailer suggests it’s more than just a harder version of the current missions.
Ninja Gaiden 4 is now available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC, and is also included with Xbox Game Pass. It’s the newest installment in Team Ninja’s action-packed hack-and-slash series, created in partnership with PlatinumGames. Though the story has some weak points – especially Ryu’s levels – it’s still an enjoyable action game. You can find a more detailed assessment in our full review.
