Nintendo Switch Game Now Free on the eShop for 24 Hours

A free game is currently available to download on the Nintendo Switch eShop, and you can keep it permanently! However, you only have about 24 hours to grab it. Free games aren’t usually offered on the eShop – or on other console stores like Xbox and PlayStation – though they’re more common on Steam. This is a rare opportunity on the Nintendo eShop, so don’t miss out!

If you’ve been following No Gravity Games’ free game offers, you have until May 24th to download Dream Alone for free on the Nintendo Switch eShop. While this game originally came out in 2018, and there isn’t a version for the new Nintendo Switch 2, Switch 2 owners can still download and play it thanks to backward compatibility. If you haven’t been participating in the giveaway, you’ll need to sign up to get the game for free.

Nintendo Switch Games Giveaway

No Gravity Games recently held a six-day giveaway on May 19th, offering a free Nintendo Switch game each day for six days. To participate, you needed to already own one of their games. If you didn’t, you could purchase one for just $1.99 – their lowest possible price on the Nintendo eShop – to unlock all six free games. Each new game became available every 24 hours, replacing the previous one.

If you’re new to this giveaway, you’ll need to own all the previous free games to get this one. That means purchasing Cyjin: The Cyborg Ninja, Flippin Kaktus, Strike Force Kitty, and Primal Light, which together cost $2. It might not be a good deal. However, if you already have all the previous games, you can simply download Dream Alone from the eShop for free, as it’s the last free game being given away tomorrow.

The game is a spooky 2D platformer released in 2018. It’s set in a peaceful village that’s been struck by a strange illness. When the hero’s family gets sick, he sets out on a perilous quest to find Lady Death, a legendary sorceress rumored to be able to cure the disease.
