What could Hello Games possibly have left to add to No Man’s Sky? Well, a gravity gun, for one.
The popular sci-fi game receives a new update today, February 11th, 2026, on both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. This update includes a cool new tool and lots of other additions.
The biggest addition in this update is called Remnant, and it introduces the Gravitino Coil. This new module for your multitool lets you manipulate objects with gravity, similar to the gravity gun from Half-Life.
This new tool lets you pick up and throw almost anything you find on a planet – even Sentinels! It basically turns the game into a fun, physics-based sandbox.
The Gravitino Coil is being released with new vehicles like trucks and flatbeds. This allows players to focus on collecting scrap and transporting it around planets, effectively turning No Man’s Sky into a hauling and collection game.
You can bring salvaged items to industrial facilities to get back materials and resources. It’s even possible to team up with friends and start a salvage business, using a gravity gun to collect scrap, load it onto your ships, and return it to base for processing.
The Remnant update includes a special, limited-time event where players work together to restore a planet overrun with junk. By participating, you can unlock cool rewards like vehicle customizations and a brand new set of armor.
While not the largest update No Man’s Sky has ever seen, this one adds another fresh way to play. Considering the game is almost ten years old, it’s really remarkable that Hello Games continues to create such worthwhile additions.
