Capcom’s new game, Pragmata, generated a lot of excitement when it was announced earlier this year. The game has been well-received, and its director hopes to develop it further.
GamesRadar interviewed director Yonghee Cho and asked if Pragmata could become a major franchise for Capcom in the future.
He admits he’s unsure what the future holds. Since Pragmata was released just a month ago, his main goal right now is to get as many people to play it as possible. He’s really concentrating on the game itself.
When asked if he’d be interested in a Pragmata 2, he enthusiastically said he’d love to see a sequel, but emphasized that the decision isn’t up to him alone.
“But I’m not the only one who decides, so unfortunately I can’t really comment beyond that.”
Pragmata has been a success with both critics and players, and it’s a notable achievement for Capcom. The game continues a strong streak they’ve had over the last ten years, especially impressive considering it’s a brand new title in a market filled with sequels and remakes.
While these comments don’t confirm anything for sure, we think it’s likely Pragmata will be back in the future.
