Oh No! Sony Reveals Stunning PlayStation Themed Magic: The Gathering Trading Cards

Is your wallet feeling light after all the new releases lately?

Get ready to see these cards for a while! PlayStation and Magic: The Gathering have just revealed the first designs from their upcoming Secret Lair collaboration.

Starting October 27th, these cards will be available in two versions: standard and a special rainbow foil edition. They’ll feature characters and themes from popular Sony games like The Last of Us, God of War, and Horizon Forbidden West.

Before we dig into all of the details, let’s just look at the cards revealed thus far:

Gorgeous, huh?

This isn’t the complete list of cards, as some will be revealed closer to their release next month. But in a PlayStation Blog post, Grace Chen, who leads merchandise efforts, shared that each card will showcase famous characters, important places, and recognizable items.

This is all part of Sony’s approach to expanding PlayStation beyond the boundaries of its consoles.

We’re constantly exploring how to let players enjoy their favorite PlayStation games, and that extends to finding new ways to experience those worlds beyond just playing on their PlayStation consoles, according to Chen.

The full list of sets is as follows:

  • Secret Lair x The Last of Us Part 1
  • Secret Lair x The Last of Us Part 2
  • Secret Lair x God of War (Greek)
  • Secret Lair x God of War (Norse)
  • Secret Lair x Uncharted
  • Secret Lair x Horizon Forbidden West
  • Secret Lair x Ghost of Tsushima

Each set will be priced at either $39.99 for the standard version or $49.99 for the rainbow foil version. We also expect, similar to previous sets like Sonic the Hedgehog and Spider-Man, that a bundle containing everything will be available for purchase.

So, I’m really curious – what DLC packs are you guys planning to grab? I’m trying to decide myself, but I’m also trying to be responsible and not blow my budget! Let me know what you’re getting and why down in the comments, and maybe we can all help each other avoid going broke!
