Capcom has launched a preview site to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Okami on April 20th. The complete website will go live in April.
The website is celebrating the series’ 20th anniversary with a special logo created by calligrapher Masumi Narita. It also includes a brief message and a summary of the series.
Here is the message in full:
To the Okami community. April 2026. This month, the Okami series celebrates its 20th anniversary.
Since it came out on April 20, 2006, Okami has been loved by players for its beautiful world, touching story, and exciting gameplay.
Just like the strong connection between Amaterasu and Issun helped shape what came next, Okami has achieved this success because of the incredible support and connection we share with all of you.
We sincerely thank you for connecting with Okami over the past 20 years.
We hope to strengthen our relationships with you this year and look forward to a brighter future together.
We will be rolling out various commemorative projects, including 20th-anniversary goods and events.
Please join us in celebrating this 20th anniversary.
A follow-up game to Okami, currently called Okami Sequel, was revealed in December 2024. It’s being developed by CLOVERS, a studio led by Hideki Kamiya, with help from M-TWO and Machine Head Works.
