One Missing MCU Star’s Avengers Future is Confusing After Latest Comments

It became common during the later part of the Multiverse Saga for the MCU to tease new characters in scenes after the credits. However, these characters often only appeared once, with their storylines never really going anywhere. One character from the end of Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness has recently been the subject of rumors suggesting they might appear in Avengers: Doomsday.

Charlize Theron isn’t offering any clues about a possible return as Clea. In fact, she’s intentionally being mysterious. However, rumors are swirling that both Doctor Strange and Clea will appear in future films, potentially teaming up with Doctor Doom. These rumors suggest that Strange’s third eye has been corrupted, making him more susceptible to Doom’s ideas about saving the Multiverse. When asked about returning for Avengers: Doomsday in an interview with Elle, Theron playfully avoided the question, stating she’s not the one to ask.

Both Theron and Cumberbatch Are Being Coy About Returning to the MCU

It’s common for actors to stay quiet about potential roles in upcoming movies. Tessa Thompson, who played Valkyrie, didn’t confirm her involvement in Doomsday, and Benedict Cumberbatch, as Doctor Strange, has also been unclear about his participation. However, if both Charlize Theron and these actors were to appear, it would strongly suggest the rumors of a third Doctor Strange film are true – especially given the importance of Theron’s character and the significant information she shared with Strange about the consequences of his actions.

The upcoming movie Doomsday is shaping up to be the biggest Marvel team-up film yet, boasting a massive cast. It will feature the stars of the new Fantastic Four movie – Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn – alongside returning faces from the X-Men universe like Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, and Alan Cumming. Of course, many of the original Avengers will also return, including Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Florence Pugh, Winston Duke, Tom Hiddleston, Mabel Cadena, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Lewis Pullman, Paul Rudd, Robert Downey Jr., Wyatt Russell, Simu Liu, Tenoch Huerta Mejia, Danny Ramirez, David Harbour, and Hannah John-Kamen. Plus, Channing Tatum, known for his role in Deadpool & Wolverine, will be making an appearance.
