One of Marvel’s Best Games Is Finally Adding Daredevil (And The Defenders Are On The Way)

The recent Daredevil: Born Again series has reintroduced Daredevil to audiences, and with a third season planned, he’s getting even more attention. The show also brought back Jessica Jones and Luke Cage, hinting at a reunion of the superhero team known as The Defenders. Now, Marvel’s popular video game is doing the same – Daredevil is joining the game’s roster, and the rest of The Defenders will be added soon.

Marvel Champions, a highly-rated Marvel game, is getting a new expansion called Fear No Evil. This expansion adds two new playable heroes: Daredevil and Echo. Players will also encounter six scenarios instead of the usual five, which can be combined with various villains to ultimately confront the mastermind, Kingpin.

Marvel Champions Is Also Bringing The Defenders Back Together

Even with Daredevil and Echo teaming up, the villains in Fear No Evil could prove to be a serious challenge. The main threat is Kingpin, but he’s brought along five powerful allies: Bullseye, Hammerhead, Purple Man, Typhoid Mary, and Electro. While these villains are working towards a larger plan, they can also be fought individually.

Each villain presents a different challenge for the heroes, with their own special abilities. Bullseye, for instance, strengthens all his attacks by adding a bonus to each card he plays, making him more dangerous. Electro, on the other hand, can power up her attacks by using energy she gains whenever she puts a plan into action.

The final boss, Kingpin, begins the fight by immediately summoning each player’s toughest enemy. Not only is that a challenging start, but dealing damage to Kingpin isn’t straightforward. He’s initially invulnerable, and you’ll need to gain the support of New York’s citizens to break through his defenses. Defeating minions will earn you public support, eventually allowing you to directly attack Kingpin and finish the battle.

We’re excited to announce even more heroes are joining the fight against Kingpin! The upcoming Defenders and Shadowland decks will add Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Elektra to the game, alongside Daredevil and Echo. Now you can build your perfect team of Defenders in Marvel Champions.

Marvel Champions: Fear No Evil hits stores this July.
