The Elbaf Arc, which has been running in the One Piece manga for some time, began in the anime in April. The anime returned after a three-month break, allowing the studio extra time to work on what’s shaping up to be the most thrilling story arc yet. Now that the series is in the second part of its final story, the studio has switched from releasing episodes weekly to releasing them seasonally, with 26 episodes per year. The pacing of the show remains the same. Also, One Piece is currently holding its second worldwide popularity poll, and the first results are already available.

It all started back in 2021 as a fun little thing, but now, five years later, it’s become this huge global event where fans get to vote for their favorite One Piece characters. What to Expect From One Piece‘s Elbaph Arc
The Elbaph arc is shaping up to be a very lengthy story, and will likely take even longer to finish than initially planned, especially with the anime not airing weekly. This part of the story brings the Straw Hat Pirates to Elbaph, the legendary homeland of the Giants, a place with strong connections to the ancient Sun God Nika. Interestingly, hints about the Elbaph arc were first dropped over twenty years ago during the Little Garden arc, when the crew encountered Dorry and Brogy.
As a huge fan, I’m so excited about where things are going! The manga has already given us so many answers about what happened before, and introduced a ton of new faces. The anime is just starting the Elbaph Arc, but trust me, things are about to get intense. It looks like enemies are heading to the island to go after the Giants, which is clearly setting the stage for the big finale. And get this – there’s a massive flashback coming that’s going to reveal everything about a game-changing event that shook the world! We’re also going to meet so many new characters, including Rocks D. Xebec – he’s already incredibly popular and I can see why!
Fans can expect to see Xebec introduced next year, and the story will finally explain his origins and background. The upcoming Elbaph Arc promises a more challenging battle than ever before, with Luffy and his crew facing their strongest opponent yet. This arc will also uncover important details about the past and the reasons why a massive, world-wide war is coming.
