The anime series One Piece is currently airing the highly anticipated Elbaph Arc this spring. A recent trailer hints at the upcoming reveal of the Sun God. The new season, which began in April, adapts the Elbaph Arc from Eiichiro Oda’s original manga, marking a fresh start for the anime. Fans are eager to see how the show’s new pacing will play out throughout the year.
The latest season of One Piece is moving at a faster pace, covering about one chapter of the manga per episode. This means the story, currently in the Elbaph Arc, is developing quickly, and Luffy and his crew have arrived in a peculiar new kingdom. The trailer for Episode 1158 hints at even more mysteries to come – you can watch it in the video linked here.
How to Watch One Piece Episode 1158
I’m so hyped for One Piece Episode 1158, “A Quest in the Land of Mystery! The Secret of the Sun God!” It’s dropping in Japan on April 19th, and the best part is Crunchyroll is streaming it the same day! Netflix will get it later this month, too. The preview is already getting me excited – it starts with Luffy and the crew heading into this really mysterious land, and then just cranks up the intrigue. I can’t wait to see what happens!
The story follows the characters as they move beyond a simple world of building blocks and stumble upon what appears to be a temple dedicated to the Sun God. This discovery leads them to wonder if they’ve actually reached Elbaph, a legendary island. As they try to escape the Block Kingdom, they sense a dangerous presence closing in. Given Luffy’s existing connections to the Sun God Nika, hinted at throughout the Egghead Arc, this new development seems to be deepening the mystery surrounding this powerful figure and setting the stage for major revelations about the island of giants.
What’s Next for One Piece in 2026?
The One Piece: Elbaph Arc anime will continue airing new episodes through Spring 2026. This year, it’s planned to release a total of 26 episodes, which is a change from the usual weekly releases. To make up for the shorter run, the story is moving at a faster pace. Plus, fans can also look forward to some special episodes!
I’m so excited – they’re making a new One Piece spinoff anime all about Nami! It’s called One Piece: Heroines and it’s coming out this summer. It’s a shame it’s just one episode, but it’s being made by a completely new team and tells a story we haven’t seen in the main anime yet. Plus, get this – there’s a new One Piece LEGO special hitting Netflix soon too! It’s a great time to be a One Piece fan!
