The latest flashback in “One Piece” has been maintaining an air of suspense among fans for several months now, delving into the hidden pasts of characters like Rocks D. Xebec and Loki, whose origins turned out to be unexpectedly mysterious. Although it’s just been six chapters since the flashback commenced, these episodes have been rich in backstory not only about Loki and Harald but also the famous Rocks Pirates, as well as other notable figures from that period such as the Kuja Pirates led by Shakuyaku, who may hold more significance than initially believed.
In chapter 1157 of “One Piece,” Shakky steps down as captain of the Kuja Pirates to establish her first version of her infamous imitation tavern in Fullalead. Interestingly, members of the Rocks Pirates, including their leader, Whitebeard, Shiki, John, and Don Marlon, are seen admiring Shakky. While everyone is enjoying themselves, the latest chapter also subtly hints that Shakky becomes an “irreplaceable treasure” in Fullalead, with this “treasure” being ominously suggested as something that could be stolen. This suggests that the treasure mentioned by Garp in Chapter 1096 regarding God Valley might very well be Shakky. If true, fans may soon uncover more details about the God Valley Incident and the real reason behind it.
One Piece Teases Shakuyaku Was Responsible for the God Valley Incident

Over the past two chapters, the manga “One Piece” has intriguingly emphasized the great power and allure that the Kuja Pirates, led by Captain Shakuyaku, once possessed. This revelation has left fans puzzled as the flashback seems to hop around, focusing on Loki, Harald, Rocks, and now Shakky. However, the latest chapter suggests that this flashback is leading towards a significant event, potentially the God Valley Incident.
Given Shakky’s impact on all pirates from Fullalead, as well as the Rocks Pirates and the Roger Pirates, it seems plausible that she played a crucial role in drawing these pirate groups to God Valley. This theory is even more convincing if Shakky turns out to be the same treasure Garp hinted at being stolen by the Celestial Dragons in Chapter 1096.
In the chapter, upon learning about the events unfolding in God Valley, Garp asserts that he previously advised Admiral Kong to leave Pirate Island and its riches alone. He further suggests that it’s only natural for the people of Fullalead to attempt to recover their lost treasure. At the moment, it was unclear what Garp was alluding to, and many believed that the Rocks Pirates were primarily drawn to God Valley because of the legendary devil fruits that Ginny had mentioned were found on the island.

Given that Shakky is frequently referred to as the invaluable gem of the island and there’s a suggestion that this treasure has been stolen, it strongly implies that Shakky has played a crucial role in the God Valley Incident. It’s plausible that Rocks and Roger sought out the island specifically to rescue Shakuyaku, whom they have both shown affection for. In the recent chapter, Shakky mentions that the Navy continues its pursuit even though she no longer leads the Kuja Pirates, hinting at a possible World Noble’s infatuation with her. This could mean that she was enslaved like Ginny. If true, Shakky might be concealing one of the darkest secrets in One Piece within her youthful facade.
