One-Punch Man Season 3 Shares New Preview Following Animation Controversy

The anime One-Punch Man has recently been getting attention, but mostly for negative reasons. After a break of over five years, the new season isn’t satisfying many fans. Even with the issues surrounding the show, the story continues with the Hero and Monster Associations battling for control. As the hero Garou fights everyone he encounters, viewers are hoping the animation studio can improve the quality before the season ends.

The latest season of One-Punch Man has sparked criticism due to some animation choices in the second episode. Many fans were disappointed with a particular scene featuring Garou rescuing a child, and shared their reactions online. The negative feedback has been significant enough that the season’s director has decided to leave social media. You can see a preview of the next episode below.

One-Punch Man’s Director Hightails It

Director Shinpei Nagai has left social media, deleting his X (formerly Twitter) account. He explained that he’d encountered a small group of followers who were intentionally trying to stir up drama and misuse his statements. He specifically mentioned they were twisting his words, attempting to get him to reveal confidential information, and even trying to profit from his work. Nagai stated that while he values his fans, this behavior made it impossible for him to continue using the platform and focus on his current project.

Nagai expressed deep concern for the fans who are hurt by recent negativity. He strongly condemns those who disrespect the creative team or profit from harmful actions and announced he is deleting all his accounts, with no plans to return. He explained that he can’t stand to see the work itself diminished and that this situation is significantly impacting his well-being and harming everyone involved. He finished by thanking and apologizing to the fans who have shown him genuine support, saying he truly enjoyed interacting with them.
