Devsisters is creating CookieRun: New World, a large-scale adventure game inspired by their popular CookieRun franchise. With over 300 million players and over $1 billion earned, the CookieRun universe is expanding to console, PC, and mobile platforms in 2029, marking the franchise’s 20th anniversary.
Built using Unreal Engine, CookieRun: New World is the most expansive game in the popular CookieRun series yet. The story takes place after the time of the famous Five Heroes, and follows a new adventure across the Cookie continent as a strange darkness reappears.
The announcement of CookieRun: New World was made during a Devsisters Online Showcase today, which also included these other reveals:
- CookieRun: Crumble (iOS, Android)
- A new casual title launching in the second half of 2026. CookieRun: Crumble draws inspiration from the idle RPG and casual mobile genre, delivering an accessible, relaxed gameplay experience designed for a wide audience while retaining the franchise’s signature charm.
- CookieRun: Kingdom Chapter 2 (iOS, Android)
- CookieRun: Kingdom, the franchise’s flagship RPG with over 80 million players, is entering its next major story era. The new arc centers on a catastrophic event that fractures the world’s timeline, sparking a war across multiple timelines as different factions fight to determine which version of reality will survive. The update also introduces a new playable region and accelerates the game’s main story cadence from every four weeks to every two weeks. The update is scheduled for May.
- CookieRun Kingdom will also have a K-Pop Demon Hunters collaboration in April. The collaboration combines the hit animated film that became a global phenomenon in 2025 with CookieRun: Kingdom in YouTube’s Top 10 Trending Report for the U.S status that screams “this will be a massive viral hit.”
- CookieRun: OvenSmash (iOS, Android)
- The franchise’s first real-time player-versus-player battle action game. Players assemble teams of Cookies and compete in fast three-minute matches across six game modes, using role-based abilities and Spell Cards to shift the momentum of battle. The game is set in Platter City, a new urban-fantasy world built around the Oven Crown Cup tournament. More than two million players have pre-registered ahead of launch on March 26.
- CookieRun: Braverse – A Game of Truth and Deceit (Tabletop Trading Card Game)
- The newest booster set for CookieRun: Braverse, the franchise’s tabletop trading card game is scheduled for March 27. The expansion introduces:
- 243 regular cards and 61 hidden cards, including Shadow Milk Cookie variants (a key character from CookieRun: Kingdom) across all five colors.
- Two new set themes (“Realm of Apathy” and “Land of Fire & Ruin”).
