I’m so excited! Team17 and Ghost Town Games just released an updated version of Overcooked! 2 for the Nintendo Switch 2! It’s available now for $29.99, £24.99, or €29.99. And even better, if you already own Overcooked! 2 on Switch, you can upgrade to this new version for just $9.99, £7.99, or €9.99!
Overcooked! 2 was originally released on August 7, 2018, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, PC, Mac, and Linux. It later became available on Luna, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5 in late 2020. Players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series can get the game through Overcooked! All You Can Eat, which bundles both Overcooked! games and all the extra content. Overcooked! All You Can Eat is also available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
Here is an overview of the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, via Team17:
Teamwork is key in the latest version of this popular cooking game! You’ll need to cook, chop, and communicate with your partner as you travel through the Onion Kingdom in your food truck. Prepare dishes from all over the world to satisfy the never-ending appetite of the Unbread hordes!
We’ve completely revamped the kitchen in this new version of Overcooked! 2, adding a whole host of brand-new appliances exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2, including:
- Enhanced graphics in-line with PC.
- 4K resolution / 60 frames per second gameplay when docked—enjoy those kitchen fires in 4K.
- Camera Play—enjoy all the laughter and joy on your friends’ faces as you trek across the Onion Kingdom. Know exactly who to scream at for help when the burger you’ve been grilling has been thrown away!
- Game Share—Bring new chefs to your team, even those without a copy of Overcooked! 2 can play both locally and online as long as one of you has your kitchen tools ready!
- And may we introduce you to the newest member of the Kitchen Crew: The Pristine Platinum Platypus!
Chefs can still play with friends on Nintendo Switch, and you’ll keep any content you’ve already downloaded. Don’t worry about losing your progress or hard-earned stars – you can easily transfer your game between platforms!
For the first week after release, enjoy a special discount! Get 20% off both the upgrade and the new version – perfect for eager cooks!
