The expansion of the Game of Thrones universe isn’t likely to stop anytime soon. Several prequel and sequel projects are in the works, including an animated series focusing on Corlys Velaryon and a potential show about Arya Stark’s adventures beyond Westeros. The biggest project, however, is a Game of Thrones movie. Reportedly written by Beau Willimon (known for House of Cards and Andor), it will tell the story of Aegon’s Conquest. Interestingly, this idea echoes the original plan for the TV show’s ending. Showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss initially proposed concluding the series with three full-length movies for theaters, but HBO declined, preferring to focus on television content.
