Later this month, along with the release of Bounty Pack 2, a big update to Borderlands 4 will introduce a brand-new, top-tier loot rarity called Pearlescent. This gear is even better than Legendary items and will be available to all players, no matter which downloadable content they own. Players who purchase Bounty Pack 2 will also receive exclusive Pearlescent gear.
You might expect me to be excited about Crimson Desert, and I likely will be, but I’m not quite there yet – mostly because I haven’t actually played it! Still, everything I’ve seen suggests it’s exactly the kind of open-world fantasy action RPG I’ve been hoping for. I’m not necessarily looking for a game with mechs or a giant robot dragon boss. While I’d happily accept either, I’m really hoping for a game that doesn’t overwhelm me with too many combat options – things like hand-to-hand fighting, grappling, swords, magic, and everything in between.
As a big fan, I was so excited to hear that Ghost of Yōtei did incredibly well after its release in October! Apparently, it sold even better than their last big game in the same timeframe and really helped their financial results this quarter. Plus, it’s awesome that games like Helldivers 2 and MLB The Show continue to bring in steady revenue – it means they can keep supporting those games and making even more!

Early role-playing games (RPGs) drew heavy inspiration from the popular tabletop game Dungeons & Dragons. In 1975, Rusty Rutherford created one of the first RPGs, pedit5 (also known as The Dungeon), on his school computer – the name came from the game’s filename. Though it only featured a single level, pedit5 is considered the first “dungeon crawler” and included randomly generated monsters and treasure. Players could use spells or weapons and save their progress. Another early game, dnd, was similar, but it’s notable for featuring the first boss character in an RPG and a simple quest. These games, with their limited graphics, laid the groundwork for the RPG genre.
Recent Marvel Cinematic Universe releases have intentionally avoided clear references to when events take place. According to Wonder Man writer Andrew Guest, this is a conscious decision—characters won’t state the year, and the stories avoid specific details about past events or connections to other MCU films. This makes it seem like Marvel has abandoned a consistent timeline before the multiversal reboot in Avengers: Secret Wars, but we believe we’ve found a way to make the main timeline still work.
Okay, so I just heard about this new Thomas & Friends game, “Wonders of Sodor,” and it’s being made by the same people who do Train Sim World – Dovetail Games. Pretty cool if you’re into trains and Thomas, honestly!
While filming the final season of Yellowstone, I came across the book [Under Salt Marsh]. At the time, I was deeply immersed in portraying Beth’s character – her anger, drive for revenge, and overall intensity. It was a challenging emotional space to occupy, and honestly, not very comfortable.
I was shocked to learn that Moira wasn’t responsible for those bodies discovered on Butler’s Farm. It turns out the first victim was Anya Berisha, played by Alia Al-Shabibi, and she tragically died because of the awful way Ray Walters and Celia Daniels treated her. It’s just heartbreaking to think about.
