Michael Palin on parting ways with the BBC, turning down Strictly and plans to keep travelling

Michael Palin responds with a affirmative, “Indeed,” he says. He’s discussing his recently published diary compilation, titled There and Back, which spans the years 1999 to 2009. This book doesn’t shy away from personal revelations, including the awkward experiences of prostate examinations by GPs or the unexpected announcement on BBC Radio 4’s Today program in April 2005 that supposedly marked the end of his documentary-making career. In Palin’s own words, he was left wandering around in just a T-shirt and underpants, feeling somewhat bewildered, like an elderly gentleman who had lost his bearings, before eventually contacting the BBC to voice his disagreement.

New Capcom Survey Mentions Dino Crisis, Okami, and Other Dead Franchises

The Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, a revival of a once presumed defunct Capcom franchise, was released over the weekend to much fanfare among fans. Not only did they rejoice at the return of their beloved series, but also appreciated the meticulous effort put into the remaster. It appears that Capcom is contemplating revisiting other franchises, as they’ve launched a survey inviting fans’ opinions on the game and their purchasing decisions. Intriguingly, this survey includes a query about potential “deluxe remasters,” with Resident Evil listed, but Capcom also hints at several other dormant or inactive franchises that could potentially be revived.

Key & Peele Star Confirms Duo “Don’t See Each Other That Often Anymore”

Keegan-Michael Key, famous for his role in Transformers One, confesses that he seldom gets to spend time with his longtime comedy partner Jordan Peele these days, a situation he describes as unfortunate. However, it’s not because they have fallen out; instead, they have followed separate paths professionally. While Key is garnering recognition for his serious acting roles, Peele has made a name for himself behind the scenes, directing and producing several successful genre films since his critically-acclaimed directorial debut with Get Out in 2017. These changes weren’t spontaneous; they’ve both been working diligently in various sectors of the industry, which has unfortunately left them with less time to spend together.

Batman 1989 Mezco 5 Points Collection Includes Figures and The Batmobile

Over the weekend for Batman Day 2024, I was thrilled to get my hands on a Mezco Toyz collection of 3.75-inch scale figures inspired by Tim Burton’s iconic 1989 Batman movie featuring Michael Keaton. The set includes a trio of figures – Batman, Joker, and Joker Goon – each with numerous interchangeable heads, arms, and accessories to customize their looks. To make it perfect, they also released a Batmobile vehicle that fits the Batman figure and boasts cool features like an armored canopy attachment, flip-up weapons, rotating wheels, and an attachable exhaust flame. It’s definitely going to be a great addition to my collection!

Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Tamara Smart Cast as Thalia Grace, Exclusive Comments From Rick Riordan

In the ongoing narrative of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians,” the cast from Camp Half-Blood expands further. This TV series, based on Rick Riordan’s popular books, primarily focuses on Walker Scobell’s character, Percy Jackson, who is a demigod. Simultaneously, it delves into the tales of other children born to Mount Olympus’s powerful deities. Initially, in “The Lightning Thief,” Percy, the son of Poseidon, was believed to be the only offspring of the Big Three (Poseidon, Zeus, Hades). However, as the main series unfolds, it gradually becomes clear that there are also other demigods roaming the human world, who share lineage with the god of lightning and the god of the dead.
