The Sims Movie in the Works from Loki Director, Amazon

Following several months of speculation, it’s officially confirmed that a motion picture inspired by The Sims video game series is under production. In an update on Electronic Arts’ official site, the company disclosed that the project is being developed at Amazon MGM Studios. The upcoming movie will be helmed and jointly penned by Kate Herron, who is renowned for directing and producing the first season of Loki. Similar to her role in Loki, Herron will act as an executive producer on The Sims film. Additionally, Briony Redman will also contribute as a co-writer and executive producer. Herron and Redman share a working relationship, having previously collaborated on Doctor Who.
