Paramount+ Renews Landman for Season 3 After Taylor Shredian Exit

Fans of Taylor Sheridan’s westerns have reason to celebrate! Paramount+ has renewed Landman for a third season. The streaming service also shared that the season two premiere in November was a huge success, making it one of the top three original series on the platform for its debut week.

I’m so thrilled to share that Season 2 of Landman absolutely smashed records on Paramount+! The premiere brought in over 9.2 million views in just the first two days – that’s a huge 262% jump from the first season’s start! It’s officially the biggest premiere of any original series Paramount+ has ever had, and I couldn’t be happier for the whole team.

The show was co-created by a person whose departure has put the future of several other shows he worked on for Paramount in question. Another one of his projects,

Christian Wallace, a co-creator and showrunner of Landman, previously explained that despite Taylor Sheridan’s departure, the show has plenty of potential storylines remaining. He emphasized the expansive nature of the show’s world, stating that after two seasons, they’ve only begun to explore the many stories it holds and their creative vision for it.

Landman Secures Its Future on Paramount+

Sheridan and Wallace created the series Landman, which features a star-studded cast including Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore, Andy Garcia, Ali Larter, and Sam Elliott. Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, Paulina Chávez, Kayla Wallace, Mark Collie, James Jordan, and Colm Feore also appear in supporting roles.

Elliott, a new cast member on Landman for its second season, is already looking ahead. He says while they’ve finished filming Season 2, his focus is on the future. He’s enthusiastic about what’s next for the show, and believes the audience feels the same way, eagerly anticipating upcoming seasons they haven’t even started filming yet.

He shared that he really enjoyed working with the cast and crew, many of whom he’d collaborated with on 1883. He especially loved filming in Texas again. He and the audience are both looking forward to the upcoming season and everything they have planned.

Okay, so I’m really hyped for Season 2 of Landman on Paramount+. From what I’ve gathered, things are about to get seriously intense. It sounds like Tommy Norris is really starting to crack under the pressure – he’s dealing with a ton from M-Tex Oil, Cami Miller, and even the weight of his family’s history. Basically, life in West Texas isn’t about honor, it’s a constant, tough fight, and something—or someone—is definitely going to snap. I’m expecting a lot of drama!

New episodes of Landman Season 2 arrive on Sundays on Paramount+. You can watch all of Season 1 right now on Paramount+.
