Three original series on Paramount+ are gaining a lot of popularity right now, with new episodes released weekly. If you’re looking for what to watch on Paramount+ this weekend, May 1–3, 2026, ScreenRant highly recommends these trending shows that everyone’s talking about.
Paramount+ is the place to stream popular shows from Taylor Sheridan, including Landman and The Madison. It’s also the only place to watch the Dexter series and many classic shows originally aired on Showtime. Plus, you’ll find a huge collection of hit CBS shows like NCIS and reality favorites such as Big Brother.
If you’re looking for something to watch on Paramount+ this weekend, here are three popular choices that are currently among the most-watched shows in the US. You’ll find a familiar sitcom with a touch of fantasy, a brand-new crime drama starring a face from Yellowstone, and a reality competition that’s been a hit for over 50 seasons. These are our top picks!
Ghosts
Since its debut in October 2021, Ghosts has become a hugely popular and well-regarded comedy on network TV, earning a fantastic 97% score on Rotten Tomatoes over five seasons. A sixth season is already planned! The fifth season wraps up with a two-part finale on May 21st, making now a perfect time to start watching or catch up before it’s off the air.
If you’re new to the show Ghosts, it’s about a young couple, Sam and Jay, who inherit a haunted house and decide to open a bed and breakfast there – even though it’s already full of ghosts! Like The Office, it’s an American adaptation of a popular British comedy. Ghosts has consistently received excellent reviews, with seasons 2 and 3 achieving perfect scores on Rotten Tomatoes. If you’re looking for a funny, easy-to-watch show with a charming vibe, Ghosts on Paramount+ is a great choice.
Marshals
I’m completely hooked on Taylor Sheridan’s new show, Marshals! It’s quickly become the most-watched series on Paramount+ globally. As a big Yellowstone fan, I was excited to see what happened with Kayce Dutton, and this show delivers! It’s a direct continuation of his story, following him after he leaves the ranch to join a team of U.S. Marshals. It feels a lot like Lawmen: Bass Reeves – it’s all about tracking down and capturing dangerous criminals, and seeing Kayce bring them to justice. Luke Grimes is fantastic in the role, of course!
I have to admit, I’m a big fan of Marshals, but it’s been really surprising to see the mixed reaction to it. While everyone seems to be watching it – it’s been the most popular thing on Paramount+ for two months now! – critics haven’t been very kind. It only has a 42% score on Rotten Tomatoes from critics, and audiences actually seem to like it even less, with a score of just 27%. It’s honestly baffling that they’ve already renewed it for a second season when the reviews suggest it might have been cancelled after just one, but the numbers don’t lie – people all over the world are clearly enjoying Marshals.
Survivor
If you’re looking for a great show to watch on Paramount+, you should definitely check out Survivor. It’s in the middle of its landmark 50th season, and with only three episodes left before the finale on May 20th, now is the perfect time to catch up! Hosted by the ever-reliable Jeff Probst, Survivor has been a hit for 26 years – it first aired in 2000 – and it’s still going strong, with two more seasons already planned.
For decades, Survivor has been a hugely popular reality show, inspiring many copycats but remaining one of a kind. Now, Paramount+ lets you watch every season, including the recent and popular season 50. If you’re looking for a classic, exciting show to binge-watch, Survivor – currently the third most-watched show in the U.S. – is a perfect choice on Paramount+.
