*Spoiler warning for Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man*
Fans are curious if Rebecca Ferguson will reprise her role as Kaulo Chirklo in the future, following her appearance on Peaky Blinders.
The movie The Immortal Man revealed that Duke Shelby’s mother, Zelda (played by Ferguson in flashbacks), has an identical twin sister who is a Romany ‘Queen’.
Currently, Kaulo finds Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy), Duke’s father, and uses a captivating approach – seemingly acting as her sister – to win him over. She suggests that uniting with his son will bring him the peace he desires.
Kaulo then talks to Duke, urging him to take over Tommy’s position by killing his own father, which Kaulo believes will bring Tommy rest.

Tommy quickly figures out Kaulo’s plan, but decides to stick with Duke, hoping Duke will support his father instead of siding with his new mentor, the Nazi antagonist John Beckett (played by Tim Roth).
Ultimately, Duke selects Tommy, though their relationship doesn’t last. The film concludes with Kaulo taking over as the leader of the Shelby family. However, it leaves viewers wondering if Kaulo’s story is truly finished.

When asked if Kaulo might return, Ferguson told Michael Hodges in the newest issue of TopMob that he doesn’t rule anything out.
She added that Kaulo was incredibly important to the movie, but she doesn’t believe every character needs a follow-up story. Sometimes, it’s okay to leave things unresolved.
So, it would seem to be more of a case of ‘never say never’.

The film clearly set up Kaulo to become a powerful, motherly figure within the series, and Tommy Shelby even likened her to his beloved aunt Polly Gray (played by the late Helen McCrory).
Could we see Kaulo take on a similar role to Polly in her relationship with her nephew, Duke?

Either way, Ferguson explained to TopMob her view on Kaulo and Duke’s relationship.
The actress spoke fondly of her co-star, Barry, describing him as a wonderful and receptive person. She enjoyed working with him and appreciated their on-screen connection. She explained that his character, Duke, is complex – self-absorbed and driven, yet ultimately destructive and unpredictable, like a ticking time bomb. She noted that Kaulo is the only one who can effectively challenge Duke and that Duke actually respects those boundaries – a dynamic she described as ‘tough love’.
