Getting there is easier if you’re already in Asia, but even from the West, it’s doable – you could even start playing Nikke during your flight. Spots In Seoul To Catch A Glimpse of Nikke

Hongdae is the best part of Seoul to experience anime and gaming culture, especially at night time!

You can start your Seoul trip by visiting the Shift Up office, where the game Nikke was created. However, you can’t go inside or take a tour—you can only view it from the outside and take photos. It’s located in the Gangnam district, which offers many other attractions and activities.

Next, make your way to Hongdae! This area is the heart of anime and gaming culture in the city. While you won’t find a store dedicated solely to Nikke, you’ll likely find related merchandise in major anime shops like Animate Hongdae and AK Plaza Hongdae – a great place to start your search.

So, what can you expect to find in these shops? First and foremost, probably merchandise – and hopefully items you can’t buy anywhere else online, especially things exclusive to Asia. You’ll also find lots of accessories like keychains, posters, and plushies.

These shops aren’t about what they sell, but the fun of being there. You’ll find yourself surrounded by other gacha fans and gamers, making it a really immersive experience. Plus, if you’re looking for someone who shares your interests – maybe they love Nikke or another game too – this is a great place to meet them! It all begins with a trip to Hongdae.

You’re planning a trip from Seoul to Tokyo, which is just a short flight away. When you arrive, consider staying in or near Akihabara – it’s the heart of Japan’s anime and gaming scene. You’ll quickly notice that Japan openly embraces these interests far more than Korea does.

Akihabara has countless stores, and a big part of the fun is wandering around and discovering new things. Even though Nikke originated outside of Japan, it’s become popular there. Unlike some cultural imports, it’s widely accepted – the Japanese embrace all kinds of games and anime, including titles like Nikke.

Akihabara is a great choice, but it can get very crowded, particularly on weekends. If you’d prefer a more laid-back experience, we suggest visiting Ikebukuro instead. You’ll still find plenty of anime-related shops there, but with fewer crowds and better prices, making it a good option for purchasing Nikke merchandise.

While it might take a bit of luck to visit during one of these events, it’s definitely possible!
