I’m so excited! A really cool PlayStation game from the PS3 days is going to be free, but you’ll have to grab it starting February 18th. Here’s the catch – it’s not coming through the PlayStation Store. Instead, Lenovo is giving it away, which means only PC players can get it. The best part? You don’t need any subscriptions! But be warned, it’s first come, first served with Steam codes, and from what I’ve heard, they go fast – usually within a couple of hours. So, if you want it, you’ll need to be quick!
I’m so excited – there’s a giveaway happening right now where you can get Heavy Rain for free! If you haven’t played it, it’s an awesome action-adventure game originally made by the French studio Quantic Dream back in 2010, and it was a PlayStation 3 exclusive for a while. Later, in 2016, they released a remastered version for the PS4, and then in 2020 it finally came to PC, so more people could enjoy it!
One of 2010’s Best PS3 Games
Quantic Dream established itself as a leading studio with the release of Heavy Rain, the first in a trilogy that also included Beyond: Two Souls (2013) and Detroit: Become Human (2018). Many fans still consider it the studio’s best work. Following earlier titles like Fahrenheit (2005) and The Nomad Soul (1999), Heavy Rain truly brought Quantic Dream into the spotlight. The game received a high score of 87 on Metacritic and sold millions of copies, solidifying its success.
This game is a story-focused action-adventure where your choices drastically change the narrative and even the ending. The story centers around the Origami Killer, a serial killer who targets victims during heavy rainfall.
This PC release of Heavy Rain is closer to the improved PS4 version of the game than the original PS3 release, offering significant enhancements to both how it looks and how smoothly it runs.
If you’re unfamiliar with Lenovo’s free game offers, here’s how they work: the games are yours to keep permanently. They aren’t temporary trials or linked to any subscription service. Once you claim a game, it’s free with no hidden costs or payments required.
