According to recent confirmation, Netflix will be releasing the remaining episodes of “Pokémon Horizons: Season 2 – The Search for Laqua.” This sequel picks up where the first season left off, following Liko, Roy, and the Volt Tacklers as they continue their journey to discover a new hidden land. Netflix has been distributing the English dubbed episodes in groups of eleven. The final installment consists of episodes 34 through 44, culminating with “Where the Adventure Leads (Beyond the Adventure).” After this episode, the storyline takes significant turns, paving the way for Mega Voltage.
The Pokémon Company announced that new episodes of “The Search for Laqua” will premiere on September 26. Currently, the Japanese broadcast has already aired its 17th episode of the third season of “Pokémon Horizons,” which is titled Mega Voltage. Additionally, the 100th overall episode of “Pokémon Horizons” was recently aired, with a special animation expressing gratitude to fans for their support. “Pokémon Horizons” serves as a sequel to the original Pokémon anime, starring new characters who continue the legacy started by Ash Ketchum. For many fans, “Horizons” represents a refreshing change in perspective within the Pokémon franchise, offering a new experience after following the adventures of one character for so long.
Everything You Need To Know for Pokémon Horizons: Season 2
In a new adventure called “Pokémon Horizons”, we follow Liko, a budding Pokémon trainer, who carries a mysterious pendant. For her safety, she’s under the care of the Volt Tacklers – an eclectic band of traveling trainers led by the impulsive Professor Friede. As they unravel the secret of Liko’s pendant, they stumble upon the enigma surrounding an ancient realm named Laqua and a Shiny Black Rayquaza that roams the earth. Alongside fellow young trainers like Roy and Dot, Liko soon finds herself part of this vibrant team.
In my excitement for the captivating world of Horizon, I must say that its first season primarily set the stage, introducing us to the characters and their encounters with the enigmatic and malevolent Explorers. The Search for Laqua deftly adds layers to the series’ rich tapestry, offering essential insights into a legendary figure from yesteryears and his intricate ties with Liko and the Explorers. As for the second season, it resonated strongly with the latest Pokémon games as Liko, Roy, and Dot joined Naranja Academy to delve deeper into Tera Training and Tera Orbs. The season finale brought a climactic showdown in Laqua, an event that will be unfolding further in Netflix’s upcoming episodes.
Mega Voltage primarily delves into the characters discovering Mega Evolutions, without spoiling its climactic ending. This aspect ties in nicely with both the Pokémon games and anime, as Mega Evolutions are set to make a grand return in the upcoming Legends Z-A. After wrapping up The Search for Laqua series, it’s expected that Netflix will provide dubbed versions of Mega Voltage at a later time. Typically, fresh episodes from Netflix arrive every two to three months, suggesting that the initial run of Mega Voltage may air between November and December this year.
