Pokemon Legends: Z-A DLC ‘Mega Dimension’ launches December 10

The Pokémon Company and Game Freak have announced that the “Mega Dimension” downloadable content for Pokémon Legends: Z-A will be available on December 10th. It will cost $29.99 or 3,000 yen.

Venturing into Hyperspace Lumiose

In Pokemon Legends: Z-A, players return to Lumiose City, where strange distortions are appearing. A donut chef named Ansha and the Mythical Pokemon Hoopa will help you investigate these distortions and explore a new, altered version of Lumiose called Hyperspace Lumiose. This unique dimension features newly discovered Mega Evolutions and Pokemon not normally found in the city, and some of them can reach levels higher than the usual maximum of 100.

When Hoopa eats a donut made by Ansha, its powers activate, opening doorways to hyperspace. Ansha crafts donuts from Berries, and each type gives different benefits in hyperspace, like boosting your Pokémon’s strength. She also makes special, stronger donuts with Hyperspace Berries that are helpful when battling powerful Pokémon in Hyperspace Lumiose.

Trainers will team up with new friends like Korrina, an expert in Mega Evolution who’s trying to find every Mega-Evolved Pokémon. Alongside Team MZ, players will investigate a mysterious new area called Hyperspace Lumiose, discover its hidden secrets, and solve the strange problems happening in Lumiose City.

Newly Discovered Mega-Evolved Pokemon

Mega Chimecho and Mega Baxcalibur will make their debut in Pokemon Legends: Z-A “Mega Dimension.”

When Chimecho Mega Evolves, it’s joined by six miniature versions of itself that constantly float around it, even without a breeze. Its cry, combined with the echoes from these copies, creates a powerful sound attack that can easily defeat any Pokémon it faces.

Mega Evolution makes Baxcalibur even stronger, increasing its ice energy and greatly enlarging its back blade. This massive blade is powerful enough to cut through or destroy almost anything in its way. Players can earn the Mega Stone needed for Baxcalibur’s evolution by progressing in Ranked Battles at the Z-A Battle Club.

Extra Side Mission Now Available to Get Mythical Pokemon Diancie in Pokemon Legends: Z-A

Starting November 6th, Pokémon Legends: Z-A players can get a Diancite Stone via the Mystery Gift feature. This item allows you to unlock a special side quest, “Shine Bright like a Gemstone,” where you can encounter and catch the Pokémon Diancie.

Okay, so I just grabbed my Diancite through Mystery Gift, and when I went to the Looker Bureau, Emma’s Espurr, Mimi, totally freaked out about it! That kicked off a new side quest, which was pretty cool. Once I finished it, I finally got Diancie to join my team! And the best part? I could use the Diancite to Mega Evolve her into Mega Diancie – seriously, seeing that Mega Evolution in battle is amazing!
