Shortly after the release of Pokemon Pokopia, the game held its first special event featuring Hoppip. While some players felt the event lasted a bit too long, it sparked excitement for future in-game happenings. Aside from a brief April Fool’s Day celebration, there haven’t been any new events – until now! The Pokemon Company has just announced the next live event for Pokemon Pokopia, and it’s a completely different experience that looks incredibly cute.
The recent ‘More Spores for Hoppip’ event brought three new Pokemon to the game, but it seems not every event will add new creatures to your collection. This time, Bulbasaur is taking center stage with a jump rope contest! From April 19th to April 26th, players in Pokemon Pokopia can participate in the Bulbasaur’s Jump Rope Contest. While details are limited, this event is designed to get more players involved in the enjoyable mini-game within the Pokemon life simulation.
Bulbasaur’s Jump Rope Contest Event Dates & Initial Details Confirmed

A new event is coming to Pokemon Pokopia from April 19th at 5 AM to April 26th at 4:59 AM local time! This event focuses on a fun mini-game: jump rope with Bulbasaur. You’ve been able to play jump rope in Pokopia since the start, but now you can win prizes for it! Usually, you need to unlock Bulbasaur’s habitat first and then talk to him to start the game. But during this event, Bulbasaur will be waiting right outside the Pokemon Center, ready to play with everyone!
Okay, so when the event starts, you’ll need to have finished the “Yawn up a storm!” quest in Withered Wasteland – basically, you need to “get this place HUMID!” like Bulbasaur says. Once you’ve done that, just talk to Bulbasaur near the Pokemon Center and you can join the jump rope contest. Then, it’s all about jumping rope and earning prizes based on how many jumps you can do in a row. I’m excited to see how high I can get!

You can play the jump rope challenge with friends either in Palette Town or on Cloud Island. The player with the most jumps wins, but remember that only the host gets a prize when playing in Palette Town. On Cloud Island, whoever achieves the highest score receives the prize.
We don’t have a complete list of prizes yet, but The Pokémon Company has hinted at a special in-game trophy for taking part in the event. It might be a limited-time item, so it’s worth logging into Pokopia and playing some jump rope! And if that’s not enough, you get to hang out with Bulbasaur, too.
