April went by quickly, didn’t it? It felt like a lot of the big releases, like Sony’s new game Saros, were at the very end of the month, but looking back, it was actually a really good month for new games overall.
Besides the thrilling and atmospheric action game from Housemarque, Pragmata was another major highlight, receiving positive feedback from both critics and gamers.
Capcom is on a roll! It looks like they’ve created another successful game franchise.
Following the sci-fi trend, April brought the release of Starfield on PS5, after a long period of speculation and leaks. While Bethesda’s expansive role-playing game has a dedicated fanbase, it’s unlikely to be a contender for our Game of the Month award given the strong competition.
This month also featured some standout titles, including the visually appealing MOUSE: P.I. for Hire, the incredibly fun Vampire Crawlers, and the beautifully designed People of Note.
Fans of collectible virtual items had a new game to get excited about with the release of NTE: Neverness to Everness, a particularly large-scale project.
With the release of Invincible VS, even fans of fighting games found something to enjoy. It really does seem like there’s something for everyone!
And let’s not forget, Hades 2 also came to PlayStation 5 last month! It’s been a really great few months for the PS5.
It’s time to vote for your Game of the Month! But first, let’s quickly look back at all of our winners from 2026 so far…
- January 2026: Trails beyond the Horizon
