Just a heads-up: it’s already mid-2026, and for us at Push Square, that means it’s time to talk about what’s coming up next!
That’s right, it’s time to step back and take stock of the year so far.
It’s been an incredible six and a half months for games! While everyone is excited about what’s coming in September and October, let’s not forget how many great titles we’ve already seen released from January to June.
It’s been a fantastic year for games, but keeping up with everything has been tough! With so many great releases from Capcom, plus a ton of excellent games from other developers and several big-name ports, you’d have to be incredibly dedicated to play them all.
Overall, PS5 has had an incredible year for games so far, and I expect the Game of the Year awards to be very competitive. The only thing that might change that is if GTA 6 is a massive hit, but we can discuss that later.
