Capcom just dropped a new trailer for their upcoming game, Pragmata, which mixes puzzle-solving with shooting action. The trailer shows off the game’s unusual version of Earth and reveals some story elements. We learn a bit about the main characters, Hugh and Dianna, including that Hugh was raised in an orphanage.
The trailer doesn’t feature much actual gameplay of the characters exploring a digitally recreated, holographic New York City. However, it ends with a reveal of a new enemy – a disturbing, distorted version of a human.
The highly anticipated game Pragmata will launch on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2 on April 24th. Capcom announced the release date in December and surprised PC players with an early demo. The demo is being used to refine the game’s performance on PC before launch. According to producer Naoto Oyama and director Cho Yonghee, they are also testing mouse and keyboard controls and working to ensure a smooth and stable frame rate.
A demo for the game was released this week on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Players get to experience the beginning of the game with pistols and shotguns. The demo highlights the game’s mix of third-person shooting and quick puzzle-solving, where solving puzzles weakens enemies.
