Capcom’s Pragmata has faced many delays, but it’s now one of the most eagerly awaited games of the year. Even a month before its release, the sci-fi game has already been wishlisted two million times and its demo has been downloaded by two million players.
To give you an idea of its potential, Resident Evil Requiem was one of the most anticipated games on Steam in February 2026, with 2.5 million wishlists, making it the third most wishlisted title. While Pragmata likely has wishlists from multiple stores, these numbers are still encouraging for a brand new game, especially one with a unique style of gameplay.
This repeating gameplay cycle caused significant setbacks in the game’s development. Players are stranded on a Lunar base where the AI has become dangerously hostile following an unexplained earthquake, and they’ll encounter waves of deadly robots. A unique challenge is that the second main character, Hugh, is unable to directly harm these robots.
Okay, so I’m playing this game where I control two characters at the same time – me and this awesome android named Diana. She’s a total whiz with hacking, which lets us get past enemy defenses, but it’s not easy! I’m constantly dodging attacks while also trying to solve hacking puzzles with her, all while shooting enemies. It’s a lot to juggle, but super cool!
The game Pragmata will now release on April 17th for Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC, which is a week before its original release date of April 24th. You can also try out a free demo right now.
“Hugh, look – I can’t believe millions of people are excited for our game!”
PRAGMATA has reached 2 million wishlists, and 2 million demo downloads. Thank you so much for all your support. 💙#PRAGMATA— PRAGMATA (@PRAGMATAgame) March 10, 2026
