CES is here, and Nvidia has just released DLSS 4.5 for all RTX graphics card owners. Along with this, several new games have been confirmed to use ray tracing and Frame Generation. Capcom is among them, with both Resident Evil Requiem and Pragmata scheduled for release soon.
In a recent developer update, Masaru Ijuin, engine development support manager, explained that Path Tracing is a game-changing technology for graphics. He said it creates more realistic images by simulating how light behaves in the real world – accurately showing how it bounces off surfaces, spreads, and interacts with objects in a scene.
The game now features noticeably improved visuals, with more realistic lighting, reflections, and shadows. Ijuin, the developer, believes this creates a cinematic look similar to what you’d see in high-quality science fiction movies, specifically within the game Pragmata.
As a gamer, I’m really excited about DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation. It’s supposed to seriously boost frame rates, cut down on lag, and make games look even better – and it should work on a lot of different PCs. I was blown away by how well the Pragmata demo ran, especially compared to Monster Hunter Wilds later on, so I think this tech will make Pragmata accessible to even more players, which is awesome!
The game Pragmata will be available on April 24th for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. The game follows Hugh as he travels to a lunar station to investigate a strange occurrence. While exploring, he becomes separated from his team and meets Diana, an android made from a unique material called Lunarfilament. Diana assists Hugh in facing the dangerous robots inhabiting the station.
The pair needs to discover the woman’s motivations and the events unfolding around her. For now, the game is only available on PC, but it will be released on other platforms soon.
