Prime Video’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith is ready for action.
The first season of the show, starring Donald Glover and Maya Erskine as John and Jane Smith, is a fresh take on the 2005 film starring Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. The Prime Video series was a hit with both viewers and critics, earning a 90% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Many critics agreed that finding actors to match Glover and Erskine’s performance in future seasons will be a significant challenge.
Production for the second season of the popular action series has officially started after a one-month postponement, and filming is already happening. According to Variety, Talia Ryder (known for Do Revenge and Honey Don’t!) will play Jane, and Mark Eydelshteyn (Anora) will play John. Sophie Thatcher, who stars in Yellowjackets, was originally cast but couldn’t participate due to scheduling issues.
