Prince Andrew’s Name Taken Off Official Royal List

The British royal family has cemented Prince Andrew’s official removal from their ranks.

Following the announcement that King Charles III had removed his brother’s remaining titles because of ongoing concerns about his connection to the late Jeffrey Epstein, Prince Andrew’s name has been taken off official royal family lists, such as The Roll of the Peerage, as of October 31st.

The official list of living members of the royal family previously included Prince Andrew listed under his former title, Duke of York, according to a screenshot from the Daily Mail. Now, the list ends with Prince William listed under “Wales.”

As a long-time observer of the Royal Family, it’s been quite a change to see what’s happened with Prince Andrew. He’s now listed on the official website just as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, but King Charles officially removed all of his royal titles on October 30th. What’s more, he’s going to have to move out of his home at Royal Lodge, which is on the Windsor Castle grounds. It’s a real shift in his position within the family, and a sad one for those of us who’ve followed his story.

Buckingham Palace stated that these criticisms are still being issued, even though he maintains his innocence.

King Charles and Queen Camilla also stated in the announcement that they offer their deepest sympathy to anyone affected by abuse, and will continue to support victims and survivors.

Earlier this month, 65-year-old Andrew explained his reasons for giving up his title as Duke of York.

After talking with The King and my family, we’ve decided that the ongoing accusations against me are taking attention away from the important work of His Majesty and the Royal Family, so I will be stepping back.

The Duke of York, who received the title from his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, when he married Sarah Ferguson in 1986, has said he plans to step back from public duties to focus on his family and serving the country.

He responded to the 2011 allegations made by Virginia Giuffre, who tragically died by suicide in April at the age of 41. She had accused him of sex trafficking and sexual abuse. While they reached a financial settlement in 2022 to resolve her lawsuit, he continues to deny any sexual contact with her.

Andrew stated, as he’s said before, that he strongly denies the accusations made against him.

Following Prince Andrew’s decision to stop using his Duke of York title, King Charles III announced that his brother would also lose his home at Royal Lodge and be removed as a Prince.

Buckingham Palace announced today that King Charles has begun the official steps to strip Prince Andrew of his royal titles and honors. He will now be known simply as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.

Prince Andrew, the younger brother of King Charles III, has announced he will no longer use the title Duke of York. This decision comes after ongoing public concern regarding his association with the late Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender.

“In discussion with The King, and my immediate and wider family, we have concluded the continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family,” Andrew said in the statement released by Buckingham Palace. “I have decided, as I always have, to put my duty to my family and country first. I stand by my decision five years ago to stand back from public life.”

Andrew stated that, with the King’s approval, he was taking a further step and would be relinquishing his royal title and honors. He reaffirmed that he strongly denied all accusations made against him.

In October 2025, the King and his oldest son attended the Countdown to COP30 event at the Natural History Museum in London.

The couple took photos outside the museum and then went inside to meet with government officials and activists focused on fighting climate change. This event happened before the COP30 World Leaders Summit in Belém, Brazil, in November, which Prince William will attend in place of his father.

In September 2025, Sarah, Duchess of York, was removed as a patron of Julia’s House after an old email from 2011 surfaced. The email revealed she referred to Jeffrey Epstein as a friend.

After details of the Duchess of York’s communication with Jeffrey Epstein became public this weekend, Julia’s House has decided it’s no longer appropriate for her to continue her role as a patron of the charity. The charity has informed the Duchess of this decision and expressed gratitude for her previous contributions, according to The Guardian.

A representative for Ferguson stated the email was sent following a threat made by Epstein.

After a 19-month absence, Prince Harry was spotted arriving at Clarence House—the King’s home in London—apparently to visit his father before attending another event in the city.

Harry arrived at the house around 5:20 p.m. on September 10th, but Charles had come back just a few hours earlier.

Princess Anne’s son and his girlfriend, Harriet Sperling, announced their engagement on August 1st. They had been dating for over a year. His father is Mark Phillips.

The couple’s representative told Hello! magazine that both families were told about the engagement at the same time and were very happy about it.

I was so delighted to hear that just before turning 78, the royal was honored with the title of Vice Admiral of the United Kingdom by the Royal Navy! It’s a lovely way to recognize her long-standing support and connection with the armed forces, and a truly special pre-birthday gift.

Camilla is the first woman to receive this honorary title. It’s awarded only by the monarch—in this case, her husband, King Charles III—based on a recommendation from the First Sea Lord, currently Sir Gwyn Jenkins.

Just hours before she was scheduled to attend, Princess Catherine canceled her appearance at Royal Ascot, the annual horse race. Kensington Palace confirmed the news to NBC News.

The palace stated that Kate was sad to miss the event, but is still working out how to best manage her public appearances as she recovers from cancer.

Prince Harry’s lawsuit seeking extra security ended on May 2nd when the courts rejected his claim. This followed a decision over a year prior where the High Court, through the Royal and VIP Executive Committee, had already denied his request for increased protection.

After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stopped being full-time working royals in 2021 and moved to the U.S., their security details were reduced. However, Harry continued to request security protection during his trips back to the U.K. in the following years.

Prince Harry told the BBC on May 2nd that he was deeply upset by the outcome of his recent legal fight. He added that, as things stand, he doesn’t foresee returning to the UK with his wife and children.

In a BBC interview on May 2nd, Prince Harry said his father, King Charles III, isn’t currently speaking to him due to disagreements about security. He expressed hope that they could resolve their differences and reconnect.

As someone who often advises on family dynamics, I’ve been following the situation with Prince Harry and his family closely. He’s expressed a real desire to rebuild those relationships, especially for his children, Archie and Lilibet. Ultimately, though, it seems like the next step is up to his father – he’s waiting to see if they’ll meet him halfway.

He doesn’t foresee returning to the U.K. with his family anytime soon. He expressed sadness at the thought of his children not being able to experience his home country with him.

Harry explained that his father has significant influence and could potentially solve the situation. He suggested this wouldn’t require direct involvement, but rather letting go and allowing professionals to handle things effectively.

After years of fighting, he’s now seeking peace and a chance to make amends. He explained, “Life is too short, and my father doesn’t have much time left.”

More than a year after announcing his cancer diagnosis, King Charles wrote on April 29th that going through treatment has highlighted the kindness and goodness in people.

In a booklet offering support to cancer patients, Charles wrote that receiving a diagnosis is understandably scary for both individuals and their families. However, drawing from his own experience, he shared that it can also reveal incredible kindness and strength in people.

Honestly, hearing him talk about the doctors and nurses who helped him just… wow. It really hit me how much he truly sees the amazing work they do. He didn’t just say thank you, he talked about how this whole experience made him appreciate them even more – and he mentioned knowing, visiting, and supporting these incredible people and organizations for years! It’s like, he’s not just a celebrity paying lip service, he genuinely cares and has been involved for a long time. It made me feel so good to hear him say that.

Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – were absent from the royal family’s traditional Easter service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor on April 20th.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla joined other royals in celebration, but Prince William and Kate chose to spend the weekend at their country home in Norfolk with their children, according to several news sources.

This was the second Easter the couple missed. It happened just a week after Princess Catherine shared the news of her cancer diagnosis.

In a statement on the organization’s website, Knauf expressed his excitement about collaborating with the team and the Earthshot community to further their goal of promoting hopeful solutions for the planet.

I’ve been following this story closely, and it’s fascinating to see how things are unfolding. A former palace aide recently received a promotion – and it’s brought a lot of past issues back into the spotlight. Years ago, he raised concerns about some alleged behavior from Meghan Markle, specifically around how a couple of her assistants were treated. He claimed there was some undermining of another staff member as well. Now, the Sussexes’ team has strongly denied those claims, calling it a deliberate attempt to damage their reputation with false information. It’s a really complex situation, and it highlights how quickly things can escalate in the public eye.

Buckingham Palace looked into the claims, but the investigation concluded in 2022 with no public announcement of the results.

Craker was with Princes William and Harry when they found out their mother, Princess Diana, had passed away, and he was also present at her funeral.

It was with great sadness that I learned of the passing of Prince Frederik, just 22 years old. He bravely battled PolG mitochondrial disease, a really rare genetic condition, and sadly passed away on March 1st. He was the son of Prince Robert and Princess Julie, and my heart goes out to them and everyone affected by this loss. It’s a reminder of how precious life is and how important it is to support research into rare diseases.

Robert shared in a statement that Frederik is like a superhero to his family, many friends, and now, through his PolG Foundation, to people around the world. Robert believes Frederik’s special talent was his ability to motivate others and lead by being a positive role model.

Oh my gosh, I’m absolutely heartbroken for Meghan! Apparently, her sweet rescue beagle, the one she adopted way back in 2015 – even before she met Prince Harry! – just passed away. I can’t even imagine how devastated she must be. That dog was clearly so special to her, and she’s had him for so long. It’s just so sad!

In an Instagram post on January 7th, she shared that she’d been crying so much, describing the kind of tears that make you want to hide in the shower, hoping the water will wash away the pain. She acknowledged that even though it hurts, it’s okay to feel that way.

Meghan shared a heartfelt message, saying, “Thank you, my sweet Guy, for loving me unconditionally for so long. You brought so much joy to my life.”
