
Sony will release a PlayStation 5 Digital Edition specifically for the Japanese market on November 21st. It will cost 55,000 yen (including tax), and pre-orders begin November 13th.
The PlayStation 5 currently costs 72,980 yen in Japan for all languages. The Japanese-language version is significantly cheaper at 55,000 yen – that’s 17,980 yen less. It’s also only 5,020 yen more expensive than the Japanese version of the Switch 2.
The PlayStation 5 sold in Japan is specifically designed for use with PlayStation Network accounts created in Japan, and it can only display menus and text in Japanese.
