2025’s lineup for PS5 Pro now includes one of the top Xbox Series X exclusives that is currently unavailable on other consoles. As more Xbox games become playable on PS5, Nintendo Switch, and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, the number of exclusive games on the PS5 is dwindling. However, there are still several notable Xbox Series X exclusives not found on any other platform. One of these highly anticipated games is scheduled to be released on PS5 in the last quarter of 2025, as per a recent official announcement. This indicates that the Xbox Series X exclusive will become available on PS5 between October and December 2025, with the exact date yet to be disclosed. Upon its release, this game will feature enhancements specifically for the PS5 Pro edition.
While it might appear obvious, the vast majority of games set for release in 2025 haven’t yet incorporated PlayStation 5 Pro upgrades. Some games may add them post-launch, but many have not. Regarding Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, scheduled to launch on PS5 in Q4 of this year, it will indeed come with PlayStation 5 Pro enhancements right from its debut release. However, the specifics of these enhancements have yet to be revealed.
As a dedicated gamer, let me share my excitement about diving into Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl – a gripping blend of first-person shooter and survival horror genres, freshly launched by CSG Game Studio last year. For those who haven’t yet experienced the thrill, it’s actually the fourth installment in the iconic series, but marks a long-awaited return since 2009.
Initially, Stalker 2 was not produced by Xbox Game Studios; however, it was secured for exclusive play on Xbox for a year through an agreement. Consequently, Xbox players were able to access the game earlier, but the enhanced version is intended for PlayStation users with PS5 Pro. It’s worth noting that at launch, the game faced significant technical issues and some features were missing. Fortunately, most of these problems have been addressed, so PlayStation fans can avoid the challenges encountered by Xbox players during their initial playthrough.
The upcoming game “Stalker 2” has certain technical challenges and requires a good amount of optimization, which makes it potentially beneficial for play on the PlayStation 5 Pro due to its enhanced power and capabilities. However, whether or not the PS5 Pro will significantly improve the gaming experience remains uncertain at this time.
