Bandai Namco recently released a four-minute story trailer for the highly anticipated anime-style action RPG, Code Vein 2.
The publisher initially showcased this game privately at the Tokyo Game Show, but has now made it public. We originally saw it in Japanese and didn’t quite grasp what was happening, and even with the English version, it’s still a bit confusing.
The game creates a really immersive atmosphere and represents a significant improvement in quality over its already popular original.

Here’s what the publisher has to say about it:
The new trailer for Code Vein 2 shows players becoming Revenant Hunters, tasked with stopping a world-ending disaster called the Resurgence. Joined by Lou MagMell – a Revenant who saves the hero’s life and can manipulate time – the Hunter must change the past to save the future. The trailer emphasizes the strong connections between characters, introduces new faces and voice actors, and showcases a compelling story with music by Go Shiina, all centered around themes of destiny, self-sacrifice, and the choices we make.
Bandai Namco promises a story-driven game centered around strong connections between characters – bonds of blood, fate, and destiny. It’s set in a bleak future where the remaining humans and mysterious beings called Revenants fight for survival as the world falls apart.
Even though the game focuses heavily on its story, you can also personalize your character with lots of options, including body type, hair, facial features, accessories, and makeup.
We haven’t tested it ourselves yet, but it’s coming out on January 30th, and we think it might become surprisingly popular.
