Asobo Studio has updated fans, confirming that Resonance, the prequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence and A Plague Tale: Requiem, is still scheduled to launch in 2026.
The development team announced on their blog that the game is nearly ready for release. Over the next few months, they’ll be concentrating on testing, tweaking, and polishing the gameplay to create a challenging and memorable experience. This new game, Resonance, takes place 15 years before the events of Innocence and Requiem, and players will take on the role of Sophia, a character who was first introduced in the second game.
Sophia, at 22, finds herself rejected by her former mentor. This leads her to embark on a dangerous quest for treasure, an adventure that will profoundly change her life. You can revisit the initial announcement trailer, released last year, here:
